BlueVentus is a pioneering new global hospitality concept that is set to revolutionise air passenger travel worldwide. After 5 years of research and development, Blueventus has bagged a contract with Amsterdam International Airport (Schiphol) to launch in the beginning of 2010.
BlueVentus is set to improve the airport experience of air passengers worldwide, by providing quality personal space in a busy world. Inspired by first class airline cabins, and located inside the airport terminal, the core of the BlueVentus experience is a versatile sound-proof personal relaxation space (pod unit). Each pod contains a high sensory impact environment that measures 5 square meters and can be configured to suit the passenger’s varying needs. The pod contains a fully reclining aircraft style seat, business connectivity tools, (WiFi Access, Electricity Charging Point etc.) and an individualised HD surround sound entertainment system, featuring world class entertainment, with easy to use touch screen technology. Personalised concierges are at hand for business, shopping, pampering and entertainment support, as well as reminding passengers when their flight is due to leave. BlueVentus is an ideal choice for business travellers, from those with time to fill before a departure to those waiting in transit. The environment can also be transformed into a meeting room, and future versions will be family friendly.The BlueVentus offering is scalable both horizontally and vertically.
BlueVentus is now in the pre-launch phase, having completed all aspects of research, R&D, engineering, manufacture and supplier selection. In addition, all aspects of design, architecture and project management have now reached approval and compliance stage with the authorities at Schiphol. Funds are now required to commence site-build, manufacture and commercial launch. The current funding round allows Blueventus to develop and run the first site at Schiphol. BlueVentus has already secured significant lead investment from a Spanish Family Investment entity (Dos Mil Dos Cientos Uno S.L.).
